How to Put Your Picture on a Magazine
- 1). Go to one of the magazine cover creation sites -- for this example, use Big Huge Labs's Magazine Cover.
- 2). Click on "Choose File" about half way down the page. Navigate to your pictures in the window that opens; these can usually be found in the "Pictures" folder on your computer. Double-click on the photograph you wish to use and wait for it to upload to the Web site.
- 3). Choose how your image will be cropped on the cover by clicking on "Center" to keep the center part of the image in shot. Click on "Top/Left" to keep the left or top of the image as the main focus of the cover, and "Bottom/Right" to keep the right or bottom part of the image as the main focus for the cover if automatic cropping is required. Such options ensure the main focus of your image will not be obscured by any text.
- 4). Click on the pull-down menu of "Choose a layout" to select where the words to accompany your picture will be placed on the cover.
- 5). Choose the font from the seven available in the "Font" option pull-down menu.
- 6). Type in the name of your magazine in the "Magazine title" box. Choose whether you want your title to be in bold, with a shadow and what color you want it to be in.
- 7). Type in your tagline in the "Tagline" box that will enhance and explain the title of your magazine cover.
- 8). Enter a date into the "Publication date" box.
- 9). Enter a price for your magazine in the "Price" box.
