Fantasies and Flashbacks

Nicole had a fantasy about kissing Eric in the confessional. Then, she ran straight into him. Yet again, he pressed her about what was wrong. Yet again, she avoided the subject and headed out.

After Rafe told Nick he knew what happened to him in prison, Nick had a flashback. Rafe urged Nick to talk to Gabi about this, before they got married. Kate suggested Nick and Gabi take things more slowly.

Nick noted that they’d already postponed getting married. He promised Gabi a great life and intended to give it to her sooner rather than later. After Nick left, Rafe noted how devoted Nick was to his sister. Rafe and Kate left the square and ended up back at Rafe’s apartment, making love.

Nick was back in Gabi's room listening to the recording he had of Lucas and Will. “I've got everything I need now to get what I want,” he muttered. Then, he had more flashbacks of his prison past. “You think you know what happened Rafe, but you don't,” said Nick. Meanwhile, back in prison, the inmate from Nick’s flashback marked an X on a calendar page. He flipped to the next page, where a date was circled.

Romantic Woes

Lucas overheard Jennifer leaving a message for Maggie about Daniel. “Daniel broke your heart again, didn't he?” asked Lucas. Jennifer swore he hadn’t. Lucas mentioned running into Chloe and her wanting Daniel back. He didn’t want to pick up the pieces, when Daniel hurt Jennifer. “I'll make sure your shoulder is the last one I come to cry on,” promised Jennifer.

Lucas left, just as Nicole approached.

Nicole knew something was wrong and was sure it involved Chloe. Jennifer admitted she took Nicole’s advice and it backfired. She recounted how she lied to Chloe about where she and Daniel were going on their date. Then, Parker took ill and Chloe couldn't reach Daniel. Nicole said she knew how much Jennifer loved Daniel, even when she got back together with Jack. She asked how Jennifer was ever able to walk away from Daniel

Jennifer explained that her love for Jack was different. He was the father of her children. Daniel recognized that and walked away. “Sometimes you have to do the difficult thing,” said Jennifer. After she left, Nicole pondered Jennifer’s words.

Playing into Her Hands

Chloe phoned Daniel and planned a visit with Parker. Afterward, Victor walked in. Chloe went off about all the toxic cleaning products at the mansion and the dry cleaner Victor used. She forbade him or Maggie from picking up Parker, again. Victor was appalled. Chloe said if she agreed to stay there, concessions needed to be made.

Chloe handed Victor an estimate to clean the air ducts at the mansion. Victor couldn’t believe her gall, considering the stain she’d put upon his family. He rambled off Chloe’s sins from falsely accusing Philip of rape to breaking Brady's heart and leading him into drugs. Chloe called Brady “weak” and said Philip lacked character and ambition. Victor exploded and tossed her out of the mansion. Chloe smiled, knowing exactly where she’d go.

Dan answered his door to find Brady bearing a get well gift for Parker. Brady wondered if Daniel had worked things out with Jennifer. Daniel noted that a pretty significant issue came up, and Jennifer wasn’t acknowledging it. Brady suggested Daniel make the first move and resolve things.

Soon, there was another knock on Daniel’s door. This time, it was Chloe. “Victor threw me out. I'm homeless,” she announced. Chloe explained what went down and how she couldn’t imagine her and Parker living out of a suitcase in a motel. Daniel said Chloe and Parker could move into his place. Chloe was delighted. Daniel went out and immediately called a hotel and booked a room for a couple of weeks.

All Nicole’s Men

Victor showed up at the church and gave Eric an envelope with money for the parish. Eric thanked Victor for not pressing charges against Nicole. After all, she was trying to change her life. Victor thought Eric was “extremely naive” if he thought Nicole would turn into a decent human being.

Lucas arrived at the church, next, stopping when he saw Nicole. They exchanged barbs. Lucas admitted he didn’t want to work with Nicole. “Why? Do you think you're better than me?” asked Nicole. The duo ended up yelling at each other, until Eric interrupted. Lucas stormed off. Alone, Nicole told Eric that Lucas was right; she didn’t belong there. Eric mentioned Nicole’s history with Lucas. Was that why she was upset lately? Nicole admitted she was still hung up on one man, but it was not Lucas.

Agologies and Lies

Jennifer connected with Maggie at the mansion. She said she’d apologized to Daniel via a message, but hadn’t heard back from him. Maggie thought Jennifer should go find Daniel and make things right. Jennifer realized she was waiting for Daniel to do all the work. She thanked Maggie for the great advice and left. Maggie commented to Victor how quiet it was at the mansion. Had Chloe gone out? Victor explained that he’d asked Chloe to leave for good. She’d pushed him too far. Maggie agreed Chloe was difficult, but asked Victor to reconsider. She loved having Parker around. Plus, she thought Chloe was more trouble out there where they couldn't keep an eye on her.

Lucas was picking up some things at Jennifer’s house, when Daniel showed up looking for her. Lucas noted that Jennifer was out and, hopefully, planning to stick to what she told him about Daniel. “She doesn't want to see you anymore,” spat Lucas. “In fact, she wants nothing to do with you.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer showed up at Daniel’s door. Chloe answered it and tried to shoo Jennifer off as quickly as possible. “I need to give my son a bath and then I need to finish unpacking,” said Chloe. “What did you just say?” asked Jennifer. “Oh, you haven't heard? I'm moving in,” smiled Chloe.

Game Change

Kristen and Stefano chatted about his return to Salem. She told him she was “rethinking things,” regarding Brady . She wasn’t sure she had to break Brady's heart to crush John. Stefano quickly figured things out: Kristen had fallen for Brady. Kristen denied it. She just didn’t see the point of hurting Brady by getting him to the altar and dumping him, if John wasn’t there to witness it.

Later, Kristen met Brady at the park. Brady explained that he’d been talking to Daniel earlier about matters of the heart. He realized that while rushing into marriage might be a mistake, it didn't mean the two of them couldn’t make a bigger commitment. “Let's get a place of our own, together,” he proposed. “Let's live together.” Kristen said that wasn't going to work.
