Show History:My Friends Tigger & Pooh is based on the classic Winnie the Pooh stories written by A.A. Milne(1882 - 1956) and illustrated by E.H. Shepherd. According to the show's creators, one of the biggest hurdles in making the series was "maintaining the feeling of the original characters and background designs, which were based on illustrations by E.H.

Shepherd from the 1920s and 1930s and later reinterpreted by Disney animators in the 1960s."

In addition to the updated, colorful CG animation, My Friends Tigger & Pooh has two new characters who bring a fresh outlook to the Hundred Acre Wood. Darby is a six-year-old girl whose modern day persona - she even has her own scooter - makes the show relatable and fun for today's preschoolers.
