Hawaiian wedding receptions are about having fun and keeping things casual. The decor is colorful and exotic. The entertainment is lively with lots of music and dancing. The food is prepared with pineapples, coconuts and other tropical fruits. Roasted Kalua pig is the main dish in a Hawaiian luau wedding reception. - Use green or tan raffia grass table skirts to cover the tables. Decorate the table with scattered orchids, hibiscus, seashells and palm fronds. Make a centerpiece using fresh pineapple rings or bowls of fruits and flowers. If the reception takes place outside, line the reception area with tiki torches.
