Does your ex want to get back together with you? But you don’t? This has to be one really tough situation to be in. Perhaps you are only interested in being friends. It is important not to cave into his or her demands without fully weighing the decision carefully. If you really are not fully convinced that getting back together is the right thing to do then perhaps you should not.

Perhaps you were ready for marriage and did not fully believe that this person was the one for you. This could be because the other person in your mind does not make out to be the ideal spouse for your future. If you have certain traits and ideals that you are looking for that the other person does not have then perhaps you are right about breaking up. That is the whole reason for a dating process to find out if the other person has what you need in your life. So then it should be normal not to want to marry someone who does not fit your future life.

Since this person does not have what you need then spending more time with them would be a wasted effort. After all why waste time with someone who you are not going to marry? You are wasting both of your lives in a futile pursuit that may never work out.

Another reason not to get back together with your ex is that you simply do not have the feelings for them that they do for you. If you really do not love the other person it would be wrong to continue to be with them. Perhaps you may never develop those feelings for the other person. That is a really good reason why not to get back together.

While succumbing to the pressure of getting back together with your ex may be the easiest course it is definitely the wrong one. You should never toy with anyone or waste anyone’s time when it comes to something as important as finding your true love. Doing otherwise is just plain wrong.
