How to Convert a Tub With a Whirlpool Kit
- 1). Determine the access point, which is where you will install the water pump so that it is not visible. Only one access point is necessary.
- 2). Determine where you will install the jets and mark these spots with a marker. Drill holes through the marks you made. Be especially careful when drilling the holes. You risk ruining your bathtub if you drill a hole you will not be able to use for a jet.
- 3). Pull the pipes that will run the jets through the access point. Secure them where the jets will be located. Be careful to not gouge your walls. You may need an extra set of hands for this step.
- 4). Attach the jets to the pipes you installed in Step 3, thus sealing the holes you drilled in Step 2.
- 5). Install the water pump on a platform inside the access point. Hook up the water pump according to the instructions that came with it, and note instructions vary by manufacturer.
- 6). Seal the access point. The water pump is now installed in the wall.
