Nowadays, air conditioning is a basic requirement for every modern structure whether used as a corporate office or a residence.
And this need is even greater for multi-storied structures, as the people living in upper stories face greater levels of heat in summer season.
As installation of an air conditioning system in any building requires some proper planning in the interior; therefore, in case of a multi-storied building it is most advisable that quotes for air conditioning system should be acquired as early as possible, ideally even before the process of construction begins.
This will enable you to make necessary modifications in the plan of the building in order to adapt with the requirements of the air conditioning system.
While you are constructing your multi-storied house, some of the main changes that may need to be brought in the plan of the structure are adding extra penetrations, partitions and electric supply.
These changes will help you induct an air conditioning system that covers a larger area within the building.
However, placing an air conditioning system into a building that is standing in a finished form is much more difficult.
The most hard-to-tackle difficulty faced in this regard is that there is no link between the different stories of a building, making it difficult for the cooling unit to cover all stories.
A costly solution to this problem is that the cooling system has to be distributed in more than one part, and this adds to the overall cost of the quotation.
Another way to take on this problem is to use a roof cowl, which is a metal box connecting the top of the roof to the bottom space, through which a duct can be used.
Through this roof cowl, the duct work can be moved from one location to another, making it possible to use one system for the entire building.
The roof cowl is painted just like toe house exterior so that it does not affect the nice looks of the house.
You can even use wall split units which do not need a duct, hence each room can have its separate cooling unit.
Another choice for your multi-storied home is to use multi-split units, in which several indoors units are connected to one external unit.
This will give a finer and neater look to your interior with no extra compressors required to be placed in every corner of the house.
