When I purchased my sewing machine I paid about $100.00. At this time I wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do, mainly because I was very tight on money and I had absolutely no idea on how to sew.

So I did a case study in hopes of being able to justify me buying a sewing machine.

2) You will be able to hem pants for friends and family and make a quick buck here and there. You'll be amazed at how many people will come to you for sewing needs once the word gets out.

3) You'll learn the basics of sewing which will help to inspire you to venture into more sewing projects. Eventually you could become a seamstress and work at home and work the hours suitable for you.

4) Shopping will be a lot less frustrating as you will no longer have to worry about the length. This alone can make up for the time in which it takes to hem them.
