How to Disassemble a Refrigerator Door
- 1). Open the refrigerator door and remove all items from the door.
- 2). Pull up the rubber gasket around the inside edge of the door. As you pull up the gasket, loosen the screws underneath with a nut driver. It is easier to loosen the screws at this point so the gasket can be removed separately from the lining.
- 3). Start at the top inside corner and pull out the gasket all the way around the door. The gasket pulls out by hand and requires no tools.
- 4). Remove all the screws with the nut driver. Begin at the top inside corner and work your way around the door. The liner will become loose and can be pulled off the door once all the screws are removed.
