People that suffer with panic attacks live in constant fear of another episode.
This feeling alone is so overwhelming that most of the time is responsible for triggering another attack.
Stop your attack dead in its track using an effective panic attack therapy - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
If you've recently began your research on anxiety disorders, this treatment will often be mentioned as effective anxiety treatment.
Be aware that it is not an overnight cure for anxiety attacks and depending on the person and the severity of their disorder it can take up to a few months in order to see real and consistent results.
With that said, its success rate is high and therefore recommended.
What Is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy? CBT is designed to change your thinking and behaviour pattern and is used effectively in treating anxiety, panic and phobias.
CBT uses: cognitive therapy and behaviour therapy.
Cognitive Therapy: the patient identifies thought patterns and tries to understand how they can misrepresent situations giving rise to feelings of doubt, pessimism, insecurity and other negative thoughts which can easily get out of hand leading up to a panic attack.
Behaviour Therapy: during this exercise the patient identifies the way he or she reacts to things or objects which causes panic or feelings associated with the onset of a panic attack.
The aim of the exercise is to break the link between the situation and the symptoms.
The patient will also be exposed to methods that will help them attain physical and mental relaxation.
CBT can be an effective anxiety attack therapy treatment and much safer than medicinal prescribed treatments for panic disorders.
It can take up to 3 months to see real and consistent results using CBT but it is an effective way of overcoming anxieties, panic and phobias.
Be involved fully with the program and you may see results sooner.
