- 1). Create a mind-set. You have what it takes to date anyone, yet you are humble and kind. Confidence and kindness go together like a symphony and music. Most of what we do in life is all about our mind-set. If we think we can do something, we can. If we don't, we definitely won't. Talk and think positive about yourself. People treat you the way you treat yourself. We create our world from the inside out.

It's really not about the girl. It's about you liking yourself. When you like who you are, people will follow your lead.

(The important thing about affirmations is to say something you can believe. If you want to, change the affirmation so it is believable to you.) You may not believe the affirmation right away, but if you repeat something enough you will start believing it.
- 4). Make small talk with the girl. Don't ask her out right away. As you work on yourself and on accepting who you are, see if you and this girl have anything in common. You may find she is not who you thought she was. When you do talk to her, do it with confidence. A good idea is to focus and comment on what the girl is doing, eating or seeing. Stay away from commenting on her looks right away. For example, maybe the next time you see her, she is eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. You can comment on the beautiful construction of the sandwich. It will give her a good laugh, and it could jump-start a conversation. When it feels right, ask her out. You will know.
