Most people wish to have a perfect tummy; fat less, lean and sculpted, with six set of abdominal muscles popping out.
While all this may seem so much desirable, it eventually turns out to be a distant dream for many.
With women swooning over the perfectly chiseled male abdomen, raised to iconic status by none other than movie stars like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, six packs are in big demand.
Women today do not seem to be ready to settle for anything less than a six pack; and this is making the life of an average guy truly hell.
According to a recent study, it was revealed, that the most desirable physical attribute of the male body, desired by women, was a six pack abdominal.
The study covered women through different age groups and socio-economic conditions.
So, we find flabby guys sweating over in the gymnasium for hours.
Days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months, but the bulge does not seem to move a bit and slowly and gradually you realize that getting those six packs is not that easy.
While your girlfriend moves over in life; you on the other hand are stuck with the same old flabby belly.
Most people hang out in the gym for hours and keep doing crunches forever and keep wondering as to why they still do not have flat abs.
The most common myth in regard to weight loss is that one can do work outs for a particular area of his/her body and lose fat from that area.
This particular myth has been strengthened for a number of years and most fitness magazines and marketing ploys tend to strengthen this myth and it has become more and more popular.
As it is, most people fail to look through the marketing ploys of these clever marketers and buy a number of exercisers and after devoting a lot of time, finally realize that it was not worth its salt.
The point, which most people seem to miss, is that six-pack abs is not easy to get, and more that anything else, a major factor, which comes into play is that of genetics.
If your genetic structure does not allow, then there can not be a way, through which you can have six pack abdomens.
Also, losing overall weight is the key.
If your abs is lost under a thick layer of body fat, then abs exercises can hardly do a thing.
