Our Business Meeting At Mysore Hotel

I am employed as a Marketing Manager in a renowned multinational business firm, dealing with civil project work. The nature of my job makes me travel continuously to different cities and even to some overseas countries. This has given me an opportunity to know more about many Indian cities and some of the European and Middle East countries.

Last month we had a business meeting arranged at one of the Mysore hotels. Earlier I had been to Mysore on around two to three occasions and I personally love this city which is the cultural capital of Karnataka. Great thing about this city is that it has maintained its serenity while coping with requirements of the modern times. This may be due to the proximity of Bangalore which provides Mysore with business opportunities and a chance to develop at a faster pace. Mysore giving more importance to religious happenings has always kept its doors open for the new developments and technology. Similarly hotels in Mysore, which is the subject related with travelers have maintained a great flexibility in adopting modern amenities and trends in hospitality industry.

During my last months visit to Mysore we didnt find any regular hotels offering facility for business meeting so we had to shift to another hotel. Since arranging venue for the meetings is not our concern, I just took details of the new hotel before I left for Mysore. I landed at Bangalore airport and took a taxi for Mysore which is just around one hundred forty km. Since I was supposed to reach a new place, I called the hotel telephone number and took their guidance in reaching the hotel. This new hotel was located near the palace at Hardinge Circle.

It was one Oclock in the afternoon when I reached the hotel. I was transferred to my room accompanied by only one briefcase. Got refreshed and asked for the menu at Lunch. They had lots of varieties in food still I opted for some light Chinese dishes. Our meeting was scheduled at 4 pm sharp. After taking a nap I was ready for the meeting. Meeting started in time as the clients representatives were in time. Meeting room of the hotel was quite spacious enough to accommodate around ten guests comfortably. Their service was even fantastic. No question of delays as everything was in place. Even the complimentary items offered were quite appreciable. In short it was a better place for such kind of business meetings.

After the meeting was over I was offered a complementary snacks and a coffee. While talking in general with Mr. Bhupesh the clients representative, he praised facilities of the hotel United-21 in which we had our meeting. I also appreciated the services available in Mysore business hotels. From our discussions my experience told me that the business meeting was nearly a success and we could expect some good results of the meeting in a few days. Anyways the last minute change in the venue was not bad for us.
