In the Puerto Vallarta Real Estate area, the current police force administration is dedicated not only to maintaining the security level, but to increasing it through various avenues of action.

One of these avenues of action is the creation of the Rapid Response Support Forces (FARI), which was created by the city government of Puerto Vallarta. The new forces will combat crime and address anti-social behavior which could lead to committing crimes, said the Chief of Police, Javier Lpez Ruelas. The program was made possible with funds from the Municipal Security Subsidy program (SUBSEMUN), a federal government grant to fight crime; this funding shows how different levels of government are working together to continue improving various aspects of Puerto Vallarta Real Estate.

Initially 10 items were presented by Mayor Francisco Javier Bravo Carbajal, who noted the concern of the City Council to continue increasing safety levels in this tourist destination.

The members to form the FARI have received prior training, and were tested in their level of trust, identification and training. The mayor mentioned that they were trained in another state, at the Regional Academy of Tecate, Baja California; they will receive continual training so that residents and visitors alike will have full confidence in them. The current level of confidence that Puerto Vallarta Real Estate owners can have in the police force is high; these new measures are designed to improve this level.

Finally, the Chief of Police asked the population of Vallarta to report all acts of corruption and urged them to serve as a weathervane, reporting any offence being committed to the authorities at any given time; failures should be reported to the Police Regulations and Corporate Governance.

He stressed that police training in Puerto Vallarta seeks to become the best in Mexico. The FARI group will support the new model of judicial action, the base of which lies in the prevention of crime.

The new measures show the ongoing commitment of the City Hall and the Chief of Police to not only fight crime, but prevent it, and not only improve their image, but also improve security. The benefit is that the Puerto Vallarta Real Estate area will continue to have a renewed security program, both maintaining and improving the security we now enjoy.
