Select the two other people that you want to add to your chat. Click "Add" to add the two contacts to your conversation. Click the green "Video Chat" button with the video recorder symbol inside to start a video chat. At least one member of the chat needs to have a Skype Premium subscription to start the three-way video chat. Two-way video chats are free, but a video chat with more than two people requires a subscription.
- Go to Skype's homepage, put the cursor over "Prices" and then choose "Skype Premium" from the drop-down menu. Click "Buy Now" below the subscription you want to buy. You can buy a day pass, or a subscription for one month, three months or a year. All subscriptions include group video calling.
- The buttons at the top of the Video Call screen control certain features of the call. The button with the square and the arrow located to the right of the Add Participant button allows a caller to send a file to the other callers. The button with the microphone with a line through it mutes your microphone so the other callers cannot hear what you are saying. The button with the pause symbol, two vertical lines, puts the call on hold.
