Over the years one of the most common problems experienced among men is hair loss. If you are experiencing this problem, you might want to look for ways to stop thinning hair before it's too late. However, you should also educate yourself, not only how to prevent it but also about why hair loss occurs in the first place.

It is said that half of all men will have to deal with hair loss by the time they're in their 50s. Some men can also experience this unfortunate problem in their 20s. When you do notice that you're losing some hair, it will usually start with your hairline receding along with some thinning hair at the crown.

As you may know already, there are many kinds of hair loss but the most common is male pattern baldness. Overtime as the hairline recedes and the hair on the crown gets thinner and thinner, an "M" shape starts to form. After this "M" shape occurs, your hairline will keep on receding and your hair will keep on getting thinning at the crown until they'll eventually meet. When this happens, the top of your head will become completely bald and your only left with hair on the sides.

Now if you wanted to predict whether you'll be experiencing any hair loss, you would usually look at your mother's father to see if he's bald. So if your mother's father is bald, you can also possibly experience going bald at some point as well. There are also other factor in why you might also go experience male pattern baldness. One of these contributing factors is because of a chemical called DHT which is formed from the testosterone hormone.

DHT is essential and is found in many parts of the body including the scalp. When there is an excess amount of DHT in the scalp, it will usually block the hair follicle from getting to the blood stream which carries the nutrients to your hair. When this happens your hair will start to become thinner and thinner until it eventually falls out and a bald spot will occur.

There are many ways for you to stop thinning hair but one of the safest and cheapest is to implement natural remedies and techniques. These natural alternatives are rarely heard of and one of the main reasons why is because of all the other products being advertised. I'm sure you've seen commercials on TV advertising hair loss drugs and hair transplants. It also makes sense to consider solving this unfortunate problem naturally because hair loss is a problem that occurs naturally.
