Easy Credit Repair
It doesn't have to be.
Here are five simple steps you can start with today.
1.
Don't stop paying your bills.
Sometimes I hear people tell me that their debt is "really old" or that their credit score has already taken a hit so they have stopped paying their bills.
If you want to improve and repair your credit then you must pay your bills & you must pay them on time.
Your creditors are going to continue to report your status so why not start moving in the right direction.
2.
Another easy credit repair step is to negotiate with creditors when possible.
You may have to call your creditors and work out a payment plan.
When you do make sure you pay the $$ amount and in the timeframe you agreed with them.
Sometimes they won't work with you...
If that's the case, you still owe the debt and should make payments.
3.
Get a secured credit card if you have to completely rebuild Sometimes you may have to start building or even rebuilding your credit.
A good and easy credit repair step to kickstart this is to get a secured credit card, meaning you will have to put up the funds.
It is usually only about $200 to $500.
There are a lot of companies out there that have secured credit cards.
If you choose to do this make sure the credit card company reports to the 3 credit bureaus.
When you get your card remember that you don't want to use more than about 30% - 35% of the limit.
This ensures you are actually building a positive score and not hurting it.
I always suggest to people that they buy a tank of gas 1 time a month and then pay it off every month.
This will reflect a positive payment history.
4.
Request your credit reports every year.
An easy credit repair step you can take is to request a credit report once a year from each of the credit bureaus.
The law allows you to get this FREE once a year but you have to ask for it.
You can get all three of them at once or you can stagger getting your reports throughout the year.
(Example: Equifax in January, Experian in May, Trans Union in September) To request a FREE credit report go to http://www.

Use the law to your advantage.
The Fair Credit Reporting Act allows you to dispute any derogatory item on your credit report.
Anyone can take advantage of this easy credit repair step as long as they utilize the correct legal language in the dispute process.
You must dispute in writing.
This means you can write a letter to each of the credit bureaus and ask them to open an investigation into items in your file.
Now that you know you can fix your own credit, get started today.
If you don't have the time, knowledge, or skill to work on your own easy credit repair then help is available.
