How to Save On Church Wedding Decorations
- 1). Use greenery instead of flowers. Although flowers may be in the wedding, you can cut the costs of multiple arrangements and loose flowers for your church wedding decorations.
Find a magnolia tree (or other flowering tree) and pick all the magnolias and leaves you can safely remove without harming the tree. Once you have magnolia leaves, use them to: Make wreaths for the entrance, add greenery around window candles, add greenery to your reception. - 2). Drape tulle from one pew to the next. Instead of making individual flower pieces for pews, drape tulle. Tulle not only makes the event look spectacular, it adds to the small church wedding decorations you already have.
- 3). Add pictures and greenery to the table in the foyer. Use pictures of the bride and groom, and the bride and groom's parents on their wedding day, if possible. Add magnolia leaves or ivy and candles. This saves quite a bit of money, opting for treasures and greenery, instead of another flower arrangement. Place these decorations behind a book, if you have one for signing.
- 4). Borrow the church's table linens. This is one advantage most churches offer for church wedding decorations. Even small churches have their own linens, which keeps you from having to rent the linens.
- 5). Place unity candles and other candles on a table or the top of the piano or organ. This is another luxury only church wedding decorations can have. Instead of renting candle stands, use items, such as a piano or large table. Use what's already there.
