Holidays In The Recession

Planning ahead and starting to think about holidays next year? Have a look at this before you book anything. Lots of couples and families tend to opt for holidays in Spain, Canaries or the Balearics. All offer great beaches, soaring temperatures, a great family friendly atmosphere and are only a short flight away. However, more and more Brits are travelling here and therefore it's becoming more commercialized and prices are being bumped right up!

Many people are struggling to afford holidays abroad this year and next, with the recession hitting us all hard. If we look beyond Spain there are ways and means around this.
Its not always the case that travelling to Spain, even being such a short flight is the cheapest option.

I recently travelled to Goa, India and was amazed by the prices! Not just getting there but the cost of living there too. Goa has everything your average Spanish holiday has and even more, from fantastic beaches to friendly faces to superb local restaurants, and all at a fraction of the cost you would pay when in Spain. Comparing this holiday to recent years when I have visited Majorca completely opened my eyes and now there's no looking back for me! It's a shame if families are put off by the long flight as you're getting such great value for money. With so many trips to take part in and so much culture to see, you can afford to do it all in Goa.

I travelled in April this year and would recommend going this time of year. Its the end of the season and so is very quiet, very hot and you get the best prices!
With so much to see and do, budget Goa holidays really have got something to offer everyone, whatever the budget! I had an unforgettable experience, got a great deal and will be returning as soon as possible.
