It does take some time - and yes, some money - to personalize and catch the eye of your market! Our clients get lots of "junk" mail - so Real Estate Marketing materials sent to friends, family, and prospective clients must have some added value to it to catch their interest.
Any Agent can subscribe to generic monthly mailers and the company will even do it all for you - cheaply.
The trick is to PERSONALIZE and stand out from the rest, while giving your prospective clients something that's unique, and of value! Yes, finding that marketing niche that will result in referrals from your friends, family, and past clients can be both time-consuming and costly.
But it's a must if we want to be quickly recognized as an expert Realtor, one who is working hard, and is successful and knowledgeable of the market.
Clients need to be reminded that as a Realtor, we are constantly trying to grow our business, and we appreciate their help to do that.
We are here for them...
to help clients Buy and Sell homes, even in this tough market.
But marketing doesn't have to be complicated.
Reaching out to clients doesn't always have to be about educating the market and sticking to your marketing plan.
It sometimes is as easy as just Being There and Staying in Touch! As a fairly new Real Estate Agent, I pondered on what my marketing "niche" was going to be - and what I could provide of service to prospective clients that other Agents were not already providing.
It had to be something that was time-tested, and that I loved - and that my friends and family would find of value.
What do I do best?? I cook Italian food! and my friends and family love it! and they are always asking me for my recipes! So - why not reach out and touch them by sending them monthly, personal family Recipes, with step by step instructions AND a picture of the final product?! I call them "Toni's C'Mon...
Mangia" Italian recipes.
I started by sending out about 100 each month and the feedback that I received was overwhelming! I now send several hundred recipe cards out a month - and the list is growing daily.
I input the recipes on jumbo, glossy postcards, in color, and include my photo and company logo on the back, with a personal note about the recipe.
Of course, I ALWAYS ask for referrals and promise that I will give all those referred the utmost service and professionalism.
In the end, I thank them for their continued trust in all their Real Estate needs and transactions.
The feedback has been phenomenal, and I have made two sales that I know were a direct result of Being There through mailing out this personal touch.
Is it time consuming and bit costly? Yes! Did it generate sales? Absolutely! Marketing is the key to our success.
