There's just no denying the fact that anti wrinkle skin care is big business nowadays, as more and more people become increasingly concerned not only about their overall health, but also with their physical appearance. In some ways this is great news because it gives manufacturers more reason to improve their products, but on the other hand, it also makes life more difficult for the average consumer like you and I.

Simply because with so much demand, many manufacturers want to take advantage of the situation in order to bolster their profits. The problem I have with this is that they are using petroleum based mineral oils, rather than natural mineral oils. Do you really want to apply a byproduct of crude oil on your skin? Cold pressed grapeseed oil is a far superior alternative, and what makes it even more impressive is the fact that clinical trial have shown it also helps to repair damaged, and can even reduce stretch marks. Unfortunately, cold pressed grapeseed oil costs considerably more than petroleum based mineral oils, and big name brands are simply not willing to sacrifice even a small percentage of their profits.

How many times have you seen mention of collagen on the packaging of anti wrinkle skin care products. This is a common marketing tactic used by nearly all the leading brands since they know most consumers have heard how important collagen is when it comes to one's skin. Here again, manufacturers are taking the cheap and easy route. You could apply 100% pure collagen to your skin a hundred times each day and it would make absolutely no difference at all - you skin cannot absorb collagen, and that's a scientifically proven fact. Most high street products simply don't have what it takes to leave you looking years younger than you actually are.
