Feeding Your Mind Outrageously Healthy Thoughts
Help yourself on your mission to become outrageously healthy by using positive, healthy thoughts.
One way to do this is to create a poster that represents your vision of the new healthy vibrant you.
It should be a visual representation of the lifestyle you are creating for yourself.
Maybe you could include pictures of your favourite healthy foods: tropical fruit, veggies, pure water and juices; along with people who are happy, having fun, looking vital and healthy, exercising or doing yoga by the beach.
I like to include words that inspire or motivate me and make me feel fabulous.
Have a look in magazines, newspapers or brochures for words or phrases that speak to the vibrant, healthy you who is beginning to emerge.
Place the poster somewhere you will see it once or more every day.
To help the process move even faster, stick inspiring pictures on your bathroom mirror, fridge, car sun visor (so each time you fold it down there is a reminder of the new you) and in your wallet or day planner, work area at your office or on your locker - anywhere you will be see them regularly.
My poster sits above my desk in front of my computer.
This is somewhere I spend a lot of time and each time I look up there it is, reminding me how vibrant and healthy I am.
I also have things in my bathroom and on my fridge, as well as books on my coffee table to inspire me.
In addition, I have sets of cards with thoughts for the day scattered around my house in places I will see them often.
Just do whatever works for you.
Remember you are creating an environment that is going to support you grow into the outrageously healthy person you deserve to be.
I also decided to have new rules about being healthy.
Once upon a time I had really complicated rules about what I had to do to feel healthy.
I had to be perfect in so many ways, which meant I never felt I was doing enough to consider myself as healthy.
I was continually sabotaging my efforts because I felt I wasn't measuring up.
My new rules started with me 'faking it until I made it'.
That is, I pretended I was exactly as I'd like to be even though I was not quite there yet, because I knew that the more I told myself I was outrageously healthy the more I would be feel exactly that.
Try it, what have you got to lose and more importantly what might you gain? Here are some examples of my new rules.
I feel outrageously healthy every time I drink water, every time I eat fresh fruit, every time I focus on my breathing, every time I take the stairs, every time I take a walk, every time I stand up straight or every time I...
Basically I made a big long list of things that would help me feel like I was the picture of outrageous health.
All I had to do was experience one of them to feel Just as I had desire to be, every time I did it.
How cool! Why not make your own list of things that help you feel vibrant, healthy and energetic so you can be reminded many times throughout the day.
Make it easy to be successful and feel like an outrageously healthy winner all day, every day.
