Pests inside a home have the potential to pose a range of health risks to the family inside, as well as the family pets.
It is often found to be the case that there is a varied array of pests which need controlling.
If not treated they will simply continue to rapidly breed and cause harm to the homes occupants and damage the structure.
Here is a general overview of the main types of pests that are most often seen inside homes: Cockroaches: an infestation of cockroaches is often cited as the most widespread pest to be detected in a private or commercial property.
It is often the case and that the cockroaches will appear in places that aren't overly hygienic, such as a restaurant area that isn't overly clean.
They often carry dirt on them which has the potential to cause certain infections.
Rats and Mice: it is often a horrible feeling to find that rats or mice are in a property, with one of the main reasons being that they are likely to be carrying certain deadly diseases.
In general, the rats and mice are seen to have characteristics which are quite similar.
Although in relation to appearance, the rat is much larger and might range in size from about 3 to 16 inches.
Whereas mice is often much smaller at 2 to 4 inches, they are able to move extremely fast and fit through the smallest of gaps in the flooring or skirting area.
A rat has the potential to damage furniture quite quickly if not eliminated as soon as possible.
Termites: an infestation of termites isn't likely to be harmful to the health of humans, but they will be highly destructive to the structure of a property, with the floorboards a common cause of concern.
A colony of termites, which can be extremely large, can easily ruin a property if they go left undetected.
It is often found that the termite colonies can rapidly increase in size, with some consisting of millions of termites, which in that situation can be very difficult to eradicate.
Bed Bugs: the bedbugs are a very unpleasant pest to detect in the home which will feed on a human whilst they are sleeping at night.
They feature a very sharp beak which is able to pierce a host's skin which enables them to feed or suck on the blood.
It is often found to be the case that the outbreak of bedbugs is often found in shelters or hotels.
A breakout of bed bugs can appear in almost any location as it doesn't relate to bad hygiene or poor housekeeping.
