How to Care for Kanekalon Hair
- 1). Soak Kanekalon extensions in a vinegar/water solution before braiding into your hair if you know that untreated Kanekalon irritates your skin.
- 2). Add one cup of vinegar to a sink full of water and soak extensions for 15 minutes. Rinse the Kanekalon thoroughly and let them dry.
- 3). Add Kanekalon extensions to your hair in whatever style you choose. Most women choose this hair for creating braids. Once Kanekalon extensions are added, maintenance is simple.
- 4). Shampoo your hair as usual, being careful to keep most of the shampoo on your scalp. Rub shampoo in with your fingertips, not your nails.
- 5). Let the water work shampoo through the Kanekalon hair, but don't rub shampoo into the extensions.
- 6). Rinse hair thoroughly. It's not necessary to apply conditioner to Kanekalon.
- 7). Spritz your hair with oil sheen if desired, but don't overdo it. After spraying, run your fingers through your extensions to distribute any oils.
