How to Disassemble a Maytag Front Loading Washing Machine
- 1). Unplug the electrical cord of the Maytag front loading washer from the electrical outlet before attempting to disassemble the washer.
- 2). Pull the washing machine door open and locate the screws that are inside both sides of the door frame, unfastening them with a screwdriver.
- 3). Pull the door up and off the hinges away from the slots on the door hinge and set the washer door out of the way.
- 4). Turn the panel extensions on both sides of the front panel so that they detach the front panel posts from the clips on the panel flange, pressing in on the clips and tilting the panel away from the washer cabinet.
- 5). Pull up on the front panel to detach it from the clips at the base of the panel and set the panel out of the way.
- 6). Locate the four screws at the top around the dispenser bezer and remove the screws with a screwdriver, pulling the bezer off the top of the washer.
- 7). Locate the brackets underneath the top cover and detach the brackets by unfastening the bolts with a nut driver and flip the top cover backwards until it is resting against the back wall.
