    • 1). Go to the clerk of courts in any Florida county and request an application for Certification of Eligibility for expungement. If you live outside Florida, you can ask the FDLE to mail the application to you. Alternately, the application can be downloaded from the FDLE website. Complete the application, making make sure your signature is notarized.

    • 2). Take the fingerprint card and related form that is part of the application to any law enforcement agency in Florida to be fingerprinted.

    • 3). Obtain a certified copy of the disposition of the charges from the clerk of court in the county of the arrest.

    • 4). Take your application to the state attorney to complete the portion certifying that the applicant is eligible for expungement.

    • 5). Mail the application and the other material to the FDLE, along with a check for the fee, which in 2011 was $75.
