Bus Trips to Cherokee Casino From Georgia
- Harrah's Cherokee casino in North Carolina requires that players be 21 years or over to enter the casino and gamble. Before taking the bus tour, customers should have at least one current form of photo identification with them. Customers can gamble on table games, slots and video gaming.
- Greatime Getaways runs bus tours from several cities in Georgia to the Cherokee casino. The tours are day trips and depart from Marietta, Woodstock, Kennesaw, Dawsonville, Jasper, Cumming and Canton. Each ticket costs $40 as of February 2011, and includes $20 worth of gaming at the casino. The buses leave in the mornings of certain Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and schedules change from month to month.
- Skylink Express runs coaches to Harrah's Cherokee casino from the cities of Atlanta, Smyrna, Decatur, Duluth and Tucker. These buses run every Tuesday and Sunday and are set for certain Thursdays, Saturdays, and some Friday nights. The coach trips allow customers five or six hours of gambling time before returning to Georgia. The Friday night trip returns at 5 a.m. the next day. Special bonuses on the trip include a free drink, raffle or bingo games. Trips cost from $30 and each includes $20 free play in the casino as of February 2011.
- Samson Trailways, based in Atlanta, runs trips every Saturday to Harrah's Cherokee Casino. The bus picks up passengers from five locations in Atlanta: Morrow Tourist Center on Jonesboro Road, I-75 Central Station, Cascade Road from Popeye's Chicken, Candler Road from Kroger's parking lot and the Indian Trail Park & Ride. The first pickup leaves just after 7 a.m. and arrives at the casino before midday. As of 2011, each ticket costs $30 and includes $20 in gambling coupons. The bus returns to Atlanta at 5:45 p.m.
