The Pyramid Workout

The pyramid workout has been used for quite some time now.
The main exercise that is done in this pyramid style routine is the bench press.
I personally would recommend the pyramid routine over a plain three set workout.
The idea of a pyramid workout is to decrease your repetitions and increase the weight you are lifting.
Let me give you an example by explaining my workout.
I start out on bench press lifting 245 lbs at eight reps and then increase the weight to 255 lbs at six reps.
I'mtelling you from personal experience that this pyramid routine is not for beginners.
It takes time for you to develop muscle endurance and the best way to do that is a strait set workout.
After you become comfortable then you can try different things.
Many football programs incorporate the pyramid workout because it increases strength much more quickly than any other routine.
Pyramid routines are also know to build mass very quickly, which is another benefit if you are looking to bulk up.
In my opinion I like the pyramid routine and would recommend it to anyone who wants to keep increasing their strength and mass.
