Locate your light source, such as a flash or a window with sunlight coming in. You must stand opposite your light source, with your subject in between the light source and you. - 2). Hold up your reflector facing the light source until you see the light bouncing onto your subject. Angle the reflector so you get light where you want it.
- 3). Make sure your reflector is steady by placing it on a tripod or having someone hold it. Have your subject be still so you don't lose the light you worked for.

Find a structure that has a light or white surface, and place your subject next to it. - 2). You can either use a light source like a flash or you can use natural light from the sun.
- 3). You will see that you are getting the same effects as if you used a reflector, only now you must move your subject around your newly found reflector. Move the subject until you get the amount of fill light you want.
