Everyone knows what good fruits and vegetables do for your health so let's talk about such tea.

The Camellia sinensis effect

Green tea was consumed in China 4000 years ago and was used as a beverage and a medicine. It did everything from controlling bleeding to regulating body temperature and blood sugar! It is also believed to cure indigestion, prevent fatigue and improve brain function.

Several scientific and medical studies have been conducted over the decades to determine the extent of its benefits. Regular green tea drinkers have been found to be more protected against heart disease and certain types of cancer. Green tea also aids in safe weight loss by boosting metabolism without stressing the heart. It also contains high levels of flavonoids and antioxidants that reduce risk of heart ailments. Green tea was also found to reduce cholesterol and body fat.

The Proof

Another study in Hong Kong found that the catechins in such tea are absorbed by the eye and help prevent major eye diseases. Ingestion of catechins is found to prevent and improve lifestyle induced problems like obesity.

A study in Germany found that skin damage due to radiation therapy can be soothed by applying extract of such tea and filtered water. It is also said to reduce symptoms of depression, arthritis and severe stress. In some lab tests, such tea is also found to prevent HIV from attacking T- cells. Green tea is also found to reduce dangers of heart disease despite high rates of cigarette smoking!
But wait!
