You are not the only one who had lost a loved one, and even amongst your family, there could be someone who understands what you are going through.
You could speak to that person to help you share your pain and lighten the burden in your heart.
Now that you no longer need to commit to one person, you would have more time in your life.
Take this chance to do things that you could not do because of restrictions of being in a relationship.
Find yourself involved in the things you have always wanted to do and can finally do now to help you take your mind off your loss.
Some people would lose their self-esteem when they lose their boyfriend and if you do feel the same, you should be more confident in yourself! Losing one person only means that one person is not suitable for you.
Take this time to improve yourself, perhaps your strong points or work on your weaknesses, and prove to everyone, especially yourself, that you are worth it.
This is also one of the many ways to help get over your depression.
There are many things to do in life along with what you have been wanting to do all these while, and some of the more advisable things to do is to join group-based activities.
Join inline skating with a group that practises every week, or pick up a course in a new language, then get onto the Internet and start making friends from foreign countries.
All these things help you meet new people again, to add more joy to your life.
Your ex would have been able to give you much happiness and intimacy, but he is not the only person who can.
As you meet new people in your life, do keep an open mind towards them.
It is possible that you could finally meet someone who is better suited for you.
Think positively and you might realise breaking up with your ex who could not seem to get along with you properly might have been the best thing for you, otherwise, you might not have gone out to meet someone better.
Moving on with your life is important after a break up.
Remember that a break up is only one of the many things in life, and it is not the only source of love and joy.
