How To Effectively Apply Self Tanner

Applying self tanner is a great way to get an awesome glow without putting yourself at risk for getting skin cancer from the sun or from the tanning bed.
However, it can be a little tricky to get a natural look with self tanner.
There are several things you can do to help the process go a little smoother.
First, start out by taking a shower and exfoliating your skin.
You can use a loofah sponge to help you with the process.
You should concentrate on your elbow, knee, and feet areas.
These areas are those that are most likely to pick up extra pigment from the self tanner and make you look less natural.
After drying off, you can apply moisturizer to your elbows, knees, and feet.
This will also help the color not to stick so much to these areas.
Then starting with your arms, apply a thin coat of self tanner to your entire body.
Don't forget your chest and neck area, or the top of your feet.
When you have applied a thin coat to your entire body, be sure to wash your hands.
Be careful to get in between your fingers very well.
After washing your hands, squirt a little self tanner onto a piece of tissue and apply it to the tops of your hands and fingers.
A little goes a long way, so be sure not to use too much.
When you use these steps, applying self tanner is not that difficult.
You will end up with a great and natural looking tan that will last for five to seven days.
The process is quick and the color will start showing up after only a few hours.
