How to Install Refrigerator Freezer Ice Dispensers

    • 1). Shut off the water supply line to your sink faucet by turning the compression stop valve.

    • 2). Fit the metal brace of your saddle valve over the water supply line. Tighten down the nut and bolts on each side until the brace is tight.

    • 3). Turn the handle of the saddle valve clockwise until the pin pierces the pipe.

    • 4). Run the hose from the saddle valve to the back of the refrigerator. Break the sticker for the water inlet valve on the back of the fridge. Slide the hose into the back of the refrigerator.

    • 5). Remove the plastic caps inside the freezer unit. This exposes holes where the ice dispenser can be attached. Slide the bolts through the ice dispenser and tighten them to the wall of the freezer.

    • 6). Attach the water inlet hose to the ice dispenser.

    • 7). Connect the electrical wiring according to the instructions included in the kit. Wiring differs between refrigerator models. Most plug in using a connector.
