Thinking Of Attending A RV Show?

103 16
The RV shows are now in full swing.
People are paying for parking and admittance to the show.
Do they get their moneys worth? To answer that question one has to examine the reasons people go to a RV show.
There are some that go just to look at the new motor homes.
Others go to see the new travel trailers and fifth wheels.
Another group to visit the show is the fold down camper folks.
Then there is the buyer.
The buyer is going to look, but is wanting to find a deal while they are there and make a buying decision.
For the people who are just looking, I feel confident that people get their moneys worth, but not sure about the buying group.
The people just looking are just going for the entertainment value.
A good way to spend some quality time with family or friends.
They get to see all the new changes that have been made to the campers.
They get to get a beer and a hot dog.
Usually an expensive one! They get to get some free prizes and give-away pieces.
Overall I believe undoubtedly they get their moneys worth.
For the buyer, on the other hand, this can be a catastrophically adverse decision.
There is a scenario that exist that one can make a decision while attending a show that will cause serious regrets.
Why is this you ask? There is nothing wrong with buying at a show.
One can get a fabulous deal there.
One can also get a particularly distressing deal.
This occurs when a person in the height of an emotional state.
They buy on the emotions of the moment rather than the logical decision they would make without the influence of the show environment.
The whistles and bells of the show can make one feel right.
They feel excited the kids are saying yes, and the buyers aid has given their full approval.
All is well, correct? Not necessarily so I say.
The speed that salespeople operate is often way too fast.
They cover the basics, but because of time constraints, just blow past some extremely pertinent issues.
Is this travel trailer you are buying the correct weight for the vehicle you now have? Does the fifth wheel hitch weight exceed your trucks recommended weight? Does the new motor home have an engine that will give you the power you want when climbing a mountain? Are the bunks in the bunk house travel trailer you are seeing, rated to hold the person that is going to be sleeping in them? These are just a few of the items one would need to know to make a positive buying decision.
It also helps to get your moneys worth for the shows admittance price.
So what does one do? It is painless.
Here, are some suggestions.
Slow down.
It is alright to buy at the show but make sure you have made the necessary preparations.
Know what the maximum weight and length you want.
Know what price you want to pay.
Make sure the salesperson is not pushing you.
It is stressful, and sometimes one needs a little prodding.
What they do not need is someone strong arming them.
Try your best to feel comfortable with the salesperson, and make sure they spend adequate time with you.
Lastly, make sure if you are married, that you both are in complete agreement.
This is a crucial one.
Trust each other enough to make the right decision.
There are shows going on everywhere.
An immensely popular show in the Midwest, is Renfro's Boat, Sport, and Travel Show.
There is something there for almost everyone.
Good luck in your visits to any of the RV shows you attend.
