Themed Party Bags

• If you have a specific party theme, fill party bags that go with it. For example, if you are having a Dora the Explorer party, fill the bags with all things Dora. You can find stickers, paper pads, trinkets, etc. You can even find bags with Dora on them.
  
  Some party stores have party bag kits that come with everything you need for the perfect goody bag. So if you are having a "High School Musical" party, you can buy a kit that has everything in it.
  
  If your son loves Thomas the Tank Engine, fill the goody bags with Thomas items. You can find endless themed goodie bags at most party stores.
  
  

Plastic cups filled with goodies

• There is no rule that says a goody bag has to actually be a bag. Try adding a little creativity to your party by using plastic cups instead. Again, pick a cup that goes with your theme or simply choose a plain, colored cup. Take a permanent marker and write each child's name on the cup. For an added bonus, have the kids decorate their cups.
  
  Fill the cups with stickers, candy, notepads, rubber balls, silly straws, bracelets for girls or cars for boys. You can find just about anything to fill your goody cups.
  
  

Party Favor

• Instead of a goody bag, give a fun party favor. For instance, if you had a beach-themed party send the kids home with a pair of flip flops or a beach ball. Your daughter may choose to have a princess party. Instead of a goody bag, give a tiara and wand to each child.
  
  If your son is having a "Cars" birthday party, give the boys a car character such as Lightning McQueen. For a slumber party, send the kids home with slippers. You can have a lot of fun picking the perfect party favor.
