Well of Moses - St. Catherine"s Monastery
The Well of Moses, an underground spring that supplies the monastery with water, is said to sit on the very spot where Moses met his future wife, Zipporah, after protecting her and her sisters from an aggressive group of local shepherds. The well is supposed to give marital happiness to those who drink from it. According to the monks, the well never dries up, and it is St. Catherine's main source of water.
Our guide admitted that it was very unlikely that this well and the burning bush would be located so close to each other. It's still a great story.
