This year it is going to be a phenomenal year for single mothers. They are going to be able to go back to school on the tab of the federal government. Through the moms go back to school scholarship program created by the Obama administration and also the increase in the Pell Grant, single moms now have the chance to go back to school without risking their livelihood for quitting her job.
Often times when we look back upon our life we think of the things that we regret. We wish that we could have done things differently. Some of us are thinking about how college education. When I think about my own journey down the collegiate road, I wonder why I did not simply enter into a four-year university or even a community college upon leaving high school. Had I have done so, I might have landed in more lucrative position or job earlier in my life.
For single moms that are currently wondering if they should go back to college, think about your position right now. If you are earning enough money to support her family comfortably and you are not stressed and happy, you probably don't want to add extra stress into the mix. Perhaps your job is going somewhere. Perhaps you have a retirement set up in benefits for you and your family through your job. If this is the case, you're probably going to be all right.
But, if you need to change your current circumstances, you can start yourself on a two-year track toward earning a college degree at no cost to you paid for by federal funding that will allow you to enter into the corporate world and possibly find a job that will make you happy and provide benefits that you never thought possible. Much can come from having an education and if you would like to earn one with federal money, the time to act is now. This path is not for everyone, but if you can make the time and spend it doing your onlne classes, in just two years you will have a college degree under your belt and will be on your way to a new life, perhaps one that you will not regret in the future.
