They have a list of documentation that you will need.

You will only have to wait a month or two until you hear back from them about your insurance. They will wan to see documentation before they approve you and you will have to send a check for the first monthly premium payment. If you need to bring the kids to the doctor before that then you can see if there are some state run clinics nearby. They usually will only charge based on your income.
