Your blog is your homebase for people searching for you and your information on the internet.
It is the place potential coaching clients can get information from you and where you can make offers to people who are interested in you and what you do.
What to Write In Your Blog A lot of the coaches I work with tell me they are afraid they don't know if they have anything to write in their blogs.
That is when I ask them if they are passionate about their target coaching niche.
If you are passionate about your target coaching niche then you will find that you have plenty to write about.
Start to write about the things that are the greatest problems for clients in your target coaching niche.
When you write about the challenges your target coaching niche faces you will gain their interest and readers right away.
People use the internet to find solutions to their problems and to fulfill their needs so when you are writing about those topics then your blog will be found by potential coaching clients.
How to Promote Your Blog You will need to do some marketing to attract people to your blog.
We are very fortunate to have social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
Using social networks like these is a great way to market your blog and attract new clients.
You can link both Typepad and WordPress to Facebook and Twitter so that a message will be posted to each social network when you add a new post to your blog.
You can post small teasers or headlines about your blog posts and direct people on the social networks to your blog to read the rest of the post.
Giving valuable information to potential clients on social networks is a great way to let them get to know you.
Once someone arrives at your blog you want to be able to collect their contact information by offering something of value like a special report or teleclass in exchange.
Repurpose the Content of Your Blog in Articles Article marketing is a wonderful way to attract people to your site and to get your information to potential clients.
Articles should be about 400 words in length so you can use a blog post and expand on it to create an article for publication on EzineArticles.
When you publish an article you can add a link to your blog in the resource box.
The resource box is the portion of the article submission where you can put your offer and link.
You are allowed to add one link to each article you submit to direct readers to your blog or sales pages.
You will be surprised how many people look to EzineArticles to read articles or to republish them for their own newsletters and other publications.
I easily get one third of people who join my list from EzineArticles.
Article marketing is also a fantastic way to establish yourself as an expert in your target niche.
I rank number four in coaching with EzineArticles so that is a great boost to my perception as an expert.
You should write at least three article a week to boost traffic to your blog.
