Seven Useful Tips to Throw a Good Football Pass

I am going to give seven useful tips on how to throw a good football.
Playing football as a child, I was taught some different techniques to help with throwing a good pass.
Here are my suggestions: 1.
You need to have a light grip on the ball.
A light grip increases the accuracy of your pass.
If you have too tight of a grip, your accuracy has a better chance of being off target and more chances for things like interceptions.
2.
You want to keep your fingers on the laces more towards the back of the ball with your thumb underneath.
You want to form somewhat of an "L" between your index finger and thumb.
3.
Your throwing motion is very important.
You want to start with the ball up near your ear.
When you finish this motion, you want to have done a semi-circle motion with your hand ending by your hip.
You want to make sure that the release is at the top of your arc on the circular motion.
4.
The next step is shifting your weight.
When shifting when throwing, most of the weight will be on your front foot since that is the way you are throwing.
You need to make sure that the weight is leaning forward to give you more power on your throw.
5.
Every person has a different release point and you need to find your own.
Different release points can project the ball to go further or less distance.
If you want the ball to go further for example, you would need a higher release point, compared to a short pass which would be a lower release.
6.
Follow through is vital to making sure the pass does what you want it to do.
If released correctly and with the correct follow through, the ball will fly through the sky the way you want it to.
7.
The most important tip is to keep your eye on your target.
You need to make sure that your entire body is facing towards your target to send a good pass their way.
Making sure your pivot foot is facing them, along with your shoulders being parallel to the target.
If you are not looking at someone, it can make it extremely difficult to throw a good pass to that target.
If you follow these seven steps, you will be able to throw a good pass to your target with not much trouble at all.
