How to Make a Dog Repeller
- 1). Sprinkle cayenne pepper around the area you do not want the dog to enter. The cayenne pepper is one of the most effective methods. It will irritate the dog's skin, particularly around the nose, so the dog will not want to return to that particular area.
- 2). Dip cotton balls in ammonia and place the cotton balls around the area you do not want the dog to enter. A dog's nose is very sensitive; the ammonia will be too strong for the dog's nose, which will make the dog leave the area.
- 3). Dip cotton balls in rubbing alcohol and place them around the forbidden area. Rubbing alcohol is also a strong smell that dogs dp not like.
- 4). Slice the citrus fruit into 1/2-inch thick pieces and scatter the slices around the area you want to be off-limits. Most dogs do not like the smell of citrus.
