How to Word a Bridal Invitation
- 1). Open with an invitation from the bridal party, requesting that guests attend. Some examples may include, "Please join us in honoring the bride," "Please join the bridal party in showering the bride," "Let's make a toast to the bride and groom" and "You are cordially invited to join the bridal party in showering the bride."
- 2). Insert the bride's name. If it's a co-ed wedding shower, include both the bride and groom's names, but place the bride's name first. A traditional wording may say, "Sara Little" or "Sara Little on her upcoming marriage." A co-ed wording may say, "Sara Little and Evan White" or "Sara Little and Evan White on their upcoming marriage."
- 3). Note any details about the attire and activities. An example may be, "Dress casually for a fun-filled evening."
- 4). Add the date, time and location of the shower.
- 5). Ask for responses by a specific date and include a phone number.
- 6). Close with where the bride is registered.
