Want to learn how to build your lower abs? You can hardly do better than with the following powerful exercises.
1.
Lie on the floor, your hands at your sides, your legs straight and feet together.
Now raise one knee until it almost touches your chest.
Of course, your leg bends as you do so.
Lower the leg back down to the starting position and repeat the action with the other leg.
Cycle this movement, alternating between the two legs, for several repetitions.
2.
A simple variation on the preceding exercise is to bring both knees up together until they almost touch your chest, and then to straighten both legs and lower them back down together.
3.
You assume the same position as with the preceding exercises.
But this time you raise both legs to about a 30 degree angle off the floor.
Now you wave both legs about in circles while they are in this upright position.
Making eight circles with each leg, gradually working your way up to 24 circles as you gain in endurance is how to build your lower abs most effectively.
4.
Similar to the preceding exercise, in this case you raise both legs off the floor and this time cross them over each other, the left leg going to the right and the right leg pointing towards the left.
Cross them as far as you can really feel the powerful contraction of your abdominals.
Relax and repeat.
