How to Remove the Receiver From a Pellet Gun
- 1). Cock the sliding panel on top of the pellet gun toward you to prepare the gun for firing. Open a toilet lid and aim the barrel of the pellet gun into the bowl. Press the trigger to ensure that there is no projectile inside the pellet gun.
- 2). Pull down on the front of the pellet gun to open the barrel and separate it from the loading mechanism (the "breech"). Look through the breech to ensure that there are no pellets stuck inside.
- 3). Shake the pellet gun to dislodge any pellet that might be in the barrel. Close the breech.
- 4). Spread the beach towel on a table. Place the pellet gun down on its side on the table with the barrel facing to the left.
- 5). Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws from the upper left edge of the front of the gun barrel, the bottom left edge of the trigger guard, and the upper right edge of the firing hammer at the back of the pellet pistol.
- 6). Turn the pellet gun over on the beach towel. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws from the pellet gun in the same manner you did on the other side, but now it is the upper right edge of the front of the gun barrel, the bottom right edge of the trigger guard, and the upper left edge of the firing hammer.
- 7). Pick up the pellet gun in your left hand and hold it with the barrel facing away from you (reverse this if you are left-handed). Hold the Phillips screwdriver in your right hand.
- 8). Using the Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the small screw at the top back edge of the pellet gun in front of the firing hammer.
- 9). Insert the tip of the Phillips screwdriver into the small gap in front of the firing hammer. Pull up on the tip of the Phillips screwdriver to dislodge the sliding plate from its rails on top of the pellet gun.
- 10
Pull the sliding plate up and away from you to remove it from the top of the pellet gun. - 11
Place the pellet gun down on its side on the beach towel with the top where the sliding plate was facing you - 12
Insert the tip of a flat edge screwdriver into the gap between the barrel of the pellet gun and the left side of the receiver that is inside the depression, which is now revealed by having removed the sliding plate. - 13
Wiggle the tip of the flat-edged screwdriver to loosen the left side of the receiver from inside the pellet gun. Repeat this procedure on the right side of the receiver between it and the firing hammer of the pellet gun. - 14
Pull up on the left side of the receiver. Using your fingers, push the piston rod out from the hole in the left side of the receiver and toward the front of the barrel. - 15
Pull the receiver out of the depression inside the pellet gun and put it down on the beach towel.
