How to Remove AVG Spywear
- 1). Press the Windows logo and "R" keys at the same time to bring up the "Run" dialog box. Type "appwiz.cpl" in the box and press "Enter." Alternatively, click "Start" and "Control Panel," then double-click "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows XP or "Programs and Features" in Windows Vista and 7.
- 2). Click "AVG Free 9.0" or the specific AVG product installed on your computer, then click "Remove" in Windows XP or "Uninstall" in Windows Vista and 7. The AVG software maintenance utility opens and scans the AVG-related files on your system.
- 3). Place checks in the boxes "Remove User Settings" and "Including Objects in the Virus Vault" to completely remove AVG Antivirus and Antispyware from the computer. Click "Yes." The software maintenance utility removes AVG from the computer. You are then prompted to restart windows.
- 4). Click "Restart the computer now," then click "OK."
