Find Harry Potter in London

It's always fun to recognize sights from movies while travelling.
Did you know that the first Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, was filmed all over the UK? One place you can visit in London is the Regent's Park Zoo.
Here, in the Reptile House, Harry talked to a snake for the first time and decides to free it.
Even movies like An American Werewolf in London, Arabesque, The Fallen Idol and The Jokers have scenes at the zoo.
If you have seen About a Boy with Hugh Grant, you will recognize the penguin pool.
At Leadenhall Market, you can find Bull's Head Passage.
There used to be an empty shop which is now taken up by The Glass House, and optician.
Any fan will recognize that they're in fact facing the entrance to the Leaky Cauldron.
Leadenhall Market itself has been seen in a number of movies.
Brannigan with John Wayne played here, as did Proof of Life with Russell Crowe.
Angeline Jolie races through here on a motorcycle in Lara Croft - Tomb Raider.
At the crossing of Aldwych and the Strand, you will find Australia House, the seat of the Australian embassy.
That won't tell you much, but if you could see the inside (which sadly you can't, it's closed to the public) you'd recognize huge marble columns and elaborate chandeliers - it's where the interior scenes in Gringotts, the wizarding bank, are filmed.
Every Harry Potter fan has to pay a visit to King's Cross Station.
The scenes when the kids go off to Hogwarts are shot on platforms four and five.
You might feel an urge to try and run through the wall - try to resist it! A bit further into the station, though, you will find an opportunity no Harry Potter fan will want to skip.
By the entrance to platforms nine, ten and eleven, you will find a wall marked "Platform 9 ¾".
And if that wasn't enough, there is a luggage trolley half disappearing into the wall.
The perfect photo opportunity! For those who want to see Hogwarts: that's going to be difficult.
In reality, the castle is located all over the United Kingdom.
Gloucester Cathedral posed for the corridors around Gryffindor Tower.
Durham Cathedral's cloisters are shown when Harry lets Hedwig out to fly in the winter.
A lot of classrooms were shot in Leacock abbey in Wiltshire: Professor Snape's Potions classroom, the Defense Against The Dark Arts classroom and even the room where Harry finds the Mirror of Erised are all found here.
