    Party Favors and Party Games

    • Make noisemaker favors for parties. Put dry beans, dried popcorn kernels, marbles or rice in the can and put the lid on. Decorate the outside to match the party theme, a clown or character-themed birthday party for example, or make individual noisemakers for a New Year's Eve party.

Decorate and fill each can with sweet treats or popcorn as party favors or fill each decorated can with small prizes, a small coloring book rolled up with a small package of crayons and some wrapped candies will work nicely for small children.

Make games for the party. Paint the outside of the Pringles cans. Use a tennis ball or other light-weight ball and set up an in-home bowling alley with the painted containers.

Tie a bunch of the painted empty chip containers together with twine and remove the lids. Stand the bunch up and have a penny or peanut toss game to see how many each party guest can get in the cans. Mark each can with a different point value. Cut the cans in half if you need more cans and leave the lid on to make the bottom of one half.

    Emergency Car Kits

    • Recycle the chip containers to use as carry-along kits for the car. Make one filled with first aid equipment, bandages, small scissors, tiny packages of over-the-counter pain relief medication, bandage wraps, antibiotic ointment, tweezers and so forth. Decorate the outside to look like a medical bag or emergency box with a medical aid cross on the outside using paint or fabric.

Create a car emergency kit with a flare, small flashlight, emergency and tow numbers, change for calls or parking, insurance contact information, matches and a rolled-up emergency sign to put in the car window. Decorate the outside with car or road emergency symbols.

    Piggy Banks

    • With an already formed container in hand, using a Pringles can piggy bank is an inexpensive way to make interesting varieties of piggy banks. For any of these, cut a slot in the plastic lid large enough to fit coins or folded bills through so the top will not have to be popped off each time money is deposited in the piggy bank. Make a personalized piggy bank using a collage of cut photos or scanned copies of photos glued in place with white craft glue. Add a touch of humor on the plastic lid by gluing a face on the top with the slit in the mouth where the money goes.

Decorate the piggy bank to match a room theme. Use dried flowers to cover the can to fit into a floral-themed room or cover the container with cut-out pictures of a favorite sport team. Cover it in ribbons and lace for a frilly girl's room or in your kid's drawings to give as a gift to Dad for his work desk or dresser.
