Food Network Growing in Prominence

The Food Network has seen remarkable growth the past five years.
The shows and stars that this network is producing are gaining national prominence.
For example, most people in the United States recognize Bobby Flay or Cat Cora and have heard of the show that they are both a part of - Iron Chef America.
As previously stated, this network has seen substantial growth, but the growth does not seem likely to stop.
As a network they are now publishing their own monthly magazine, and their stars are being sought after by other networks.
Will we see the Food Network expand even more? Many aspiring cooks and chefs would love to wear restaurant uniforms that look as good as some of Food Networks.
To wear what is worn on the show Chopped would be very cool, and it would give a young chef the confidence of wearing what other rising food stars are wearing.
A uniform jacket is often part of the cooking competition shows shown in TV.
This allows them the ability to market the logos within the shows.
If we examine the show Chopped again, we see the name Chopped and the cleaver dividing the two p's.
The style of a jacket of these competition shows is seen by millions of viewers, so the jackets probably have a fashion influence in many restaurant kitchens.
Perhaps, the only cooking show that is bigger than anything on TV is the cooking competition show, Top Chef.
This show is trying to expand its influence by offering even more than cooking attire.
We will most likely see the Food Network follow Top Chef's marketing plan and start offering basic t-shirts or clothing that mimics restaurant shirts that wait staff might wear.
This will help the Food Network solidify its control as the food specialty television station.
