LED Lights - The Advantages Thereof
There are numerous reasons why the LED Light is superior to other types of light.
One of the most obvious is that of efficacy.
LEDs are thought to provide far more light for the electricity used, shown by that whilst the Incandescent light bulb only turns 20% used of electricity into light, the LED light facility produces 80%, therefore LEDs should be brighter.
As there is more light produced, there will be less heat produced than other types of light bulb, at least 5 times less than conventional lighting therefore other nearby structures will not be affected by increased temperatures for example air conditioning units.
Secondly, the LED light mechanism has a far longer life span than other light facility, and it is estimated that the LED light bulb has around 50 000 hours of operation, which is about 17 years of life when on for eight hours a day, whereas the Incandescent light bulb is only 750 to 1000 hours.
Therefore, it goes without saying that the LED lights may be very useful in awkward areas to light as they are not needed to be changed as often as the typical light bulb.
LEDs are also beneficial to the environment.
Unlike most other types of light bulbs including Fluorescent light bulbs, there is no mercury use and so, if the lights are broken, no polluting substances should be released.
For example when Fluorescent lights are broken Mercury and Argon can be released.
Furthermore, LED do not emit UV radiation or IR radiation which can be harmful to both people and the environment.
Many different colours can easily be achieved with LED, and they are also able to produce light (often released as heat) which is adapted to the human eye and should remove any strain to the eye.
LEDs are tougher than most other lights including incandescent and fluorescent lighting which allows them to be more resistant to shocks.
Also, the LED will allow dimming and when this type of bulb begins to fail, it will dim instead of suddenly failing and going out like the Incandescent light bulb.
Therefore, it will be possible to identify when the bulb is going to run out and thus replace it before it blows, saving any problems with sudden lack of light in areas.
Finally, the LED facility has a very fast light up time allowing light to be be produced almost immediately after turning the LED on at the switch.
