Snowboarding video games allows gamers to compete and perform various tricks similar to professional players. Whether working the half pipe or going for speed, players can compete as actual athletes or fictional characters in games. Games in this genre are available for several consoles, including the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii. - "Shaun White Snowboarding" allows gamers players to perform as Olympic gold medalist Shaun White. The game takes players to six mountains located in Alaska, Europe, Japan and Park City. Players can perform in the resort, peak and backcountry portions of each mountain. The game features single-player and multiplayer modes for runs. Versions of "Shaun White Snowboarding" are available for the PS2, PS3, PSP, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS, Xbox 360 and PC.
- "Stoked" was released for XBox 360 in 2009. The game continues the "Stoked Rider" series and features actual weather effects for mountain snowboarding. Available for single-player and multiplayer matches, the game features five different mountain areas. These include Alaska, Almirante Nieto, Diablerets, Mount Fiji and Mount Shuksan. Players can use the adaptable engine to create their own style in the game.
- "Amped 3" was released for the Xbox 360 in 2005. The third in the line of "Amped" games, the game adds to past efforts with various features including expanded levels, a 300-song soundtrack and customizable maps. Cut scenes in the game are presented in various ways with video and animation. The game also features Xbox Live add-ons, including the ability to use a hang glider, different sleds and a snowmobile. The game is rated "T" for teen players.
